Last Day of Classes

•April 12, 2010 • Leave a Comment

Today was the last day of classes. Of course my first class was cancelled but I had to go in early to work on my 3d Design projects. After working for a couple of hours I went to printmaking.  in printmaking i finished printing, now I have to cut all my prints apart and attach the together. I also did some experiments.

After class it was right back to 3D stuff. I stayed there until 10 pm where we watched South Park episodes while we worked. We also got dominos pizza delivered to the school. It was fun and I got a lot of work done. I am now going to bed so I can go in early tomorrow and do any last minute touch ups before my critique.

Everybody’s Working for the Weekend

Saturday woke up early at 7am. I talked with Heather and was feeling good. After I went to school to work on my 3D projects. On the way I ran into some friends and we went for ramen! It was so good and we had a great time. It was also a beautiful day. After some hoockey I went and worked on 3D projects for about 7 hours. Then I called it quits. I came home and was to tired to do anything crazy. A bunch of people watched Alice and Wonderland but I missed out. I watched the new South park, talked to my Mom, Heather, Rich Kalimoo :), and Quin-san. I got to bed rather late and slept in very late on Sunday. I woke up, got some exercise, ate a egg and cheese sandwich, then some nutella crepes with dan outside. I then did work for the day and watched Alice in Wunderland. It was a nice relaxing weekend with some good results.

Happy Birthday Alyssa-san Friday

I woke up today feeling really good. A  little to good. It was 6:45 and I couldn’t fall back to sleep. I began my day high, on life. Since the fight I just couldn’t get over the feeling of greatness. And i loved it.

I went to school for Sumi’s  last class and boy was it boring. After class I met up with Jaime, Jess and TIm and we went to Saizeria for lunch. It was so good I really loved it.

I then went back to school to work on 3D Design stuff. I spent several hours there and was going at a nice steady pace until some friends showed up.  My pace a little far behind but I still got a lot done. I will have to go in on Saturday in order to get more stuff done. I basically stayed there with my friends until 10 pm.

After the hour long commute home, I was not tired one bit. I have been on a high all day. When I woke up I felt amazing. With some of my awesome friends I had an awesome lunch. Then I found out I won a category of the photo contest!. That was really exciting. I go to pick up y “prize” on Monday.

So not being tired we decided to go out and celebrate Alyssa’s birthday. It was a lot of fun and as i always say the more the merrier. We had ahuge group of people. It was started to be a lot of fun. Then Quin kicked my leg lightly to get my attention. But he kicked it right in the spot where I was hurt. I went down to the ground faster then I knew I could. I could not believe I went down. Part of it was shock, part of it was embarrassment, but I got to my feet on my own. I couldn’t run then and Jaime joked if the police came he would give e a piggy back ride and he demonstrated for 100 feet. 🙂

We got very loud and rowdy and someone DID call the police on us. We quickly dispersed. I went home with a bunch of the girls to watch Beauty and the Beast. Some of the guys had called out for me, as they turned down some random street and disappeared. Later I would find that the police had come in great numbers and tried to get a bunch of my friends in trouble. I didn’t quite understand it but they were after Corey for some particular reason.

It was a fun night and an awesome Day.

Thirsty Bloody Thursday

Yesterday was not a grand day. I had been up all night working on projects and finally got to sleep at about 6:30. I then woke up at 8 to go to class. For sure I will not miss the one hour commute.

I got to class at 9. I worked on one project and rendered it out. I am almost done with my computer projects, and I am not worried that I will not finish now. I also printed my project with a lot of trouble. First the ink cartridges were empty then 3/4 the way done the printer just broke. I had to go to another printer and it didn’t work. It was such a headache.

I then went to my next class and got some critique on my poster. Once mine was done I started to drift off. Before long my teacher kicked me telling me my head was bobbling and told us how funny he thought that was. I was then awake, but he told me to just chill and take a nap, it was last class. So I did. When I woke up I discovered a Kick Me sign on my back, thanks to my teacher. It was a good laugh though 🙂

Next was 3D. now I was tired and in a bit of a bad mood as I went to class. I felt like I was getting a lot done, but I was doing things wrong and my teacher showed me what I was doing wrong. It was a little depressing but Jaime came just in time to save the day.

The Last Fight Club. It was not happening because of a flea market going on in the cafeteria. I refused to believe it. I had a number of reasons to go tonight. So we did the next logical step to any situation like this.

We went to the pub. Well not a pub but 7 Eleven and got 4 Chu-His for both my project and ourselves. We went back into school and drank them talking to some friends that were passing by. Everyone thought we were crazy. But we were really waiting for the flea market to finish so we could just spare. After a while this finally happened.

We started setting up mats and then Kenny came in telling us to wait and we would have club. At this point we told him we just want to spar. He was down for that and after a few more drinks for my project it was Jaime vs Joe. The fight went down boxing style. I told him I was not going to hold back. Because of my larger size I had the advantage. Plus Jaime has a better ground game then me but we weren’t on the ground. The fight jsut kept going for 10-12 minutes. It was all striking the whole time. The only reason we stopped was Jaime started to bleed.

After a few more drinks Jaime was done. I on the otherhand was feeling great! So I challenged Shu to a sparing match. Shu is very high in the martial arts and is going to competition in June. The winner of that competition gets awarded some pro contract. Of course I was modest. I knew he would win and I told him so. He agreed to fight me and it was a ton of fun. At first my reach advantage and size difference was really helping me. For about 5 minutes we just went back and forth. Then Kenny told him in Japanese to change up his fight and go for close quarters combat. After that Shu got some awesome hits in. I then felt it erupt. Blood started pouring out of my nose like a fountain. FOr the first time someone had made my nose bleed. Because I was drunk I could not feel it. I had to have someone else tell me the fountatin had started. I ripped off the head gear but it was already stained. I tried to catch the blood coming out of my nose. There was so much and all I could do was laugh and congradulate Shu on the amazing hits. I then spit out all the blood in my mouth and went to the bathroom. About half way, Manabu gave me some toilet paper. It took about ten minutes for the bleeding to stop.

After a couple more drinks SHu told me how impressed he was that I went through two fights in a row. I told him how I really liked it and I wish I was better so I could help them practice. After a long fight night I realized how my father and his friends did it all 🙂

We then wanted to head out. I had to help Jaime out at first but then he was ok. We followed the Japanese guys to a Ramen shop. Jaime was not feeling well but got a bowl anyway. I ended up eating it. It was a fun time and as we parted from our MMA friends we wished them well and told them if ever they were to come to the states that we would hook them up with a place to stay and such.

I am really gonna miss these guys. THey are so disappointed that we are leaving after one semester. If anything I have learned on this trip that people can really become attached to you, and you don’t know or realize it until you have to leave. There are so any people here that really like me. I have made way more friends in Japan then Temple main and I didn’t even try. I am going to miss these people but meeting them and getting to know them has made me a better person… who now likes to fight for the right to party!

Today my first class was canceled, I still had to go in to pick up my art sculpture for 11:30. After to much sleep the night before and waking up throughout the night, I was tired and late. I met up with my teacher at 11:35. We then headed over having a nice chat. Once we picked up a couple pieces we headed back. We discussed going out for some yakatori some time, I am pretty excited.

I then went to Sanzaria, some Italian cheap place that is like y new favorite with Keds. Jaime had already got food. When we arrived there was a huge wait and it almost detered us! But we were to determined to get our cheap eats. We stayed and got seated with 20 minutes. We then started talking about life and hit a common nail on the thread. He had a huge crush on a girl and asked her out but she started dating me instead! It was a crazy coincidence that we both had a good laugh about.

It was then back to school fro printmaking. i got a lot done but my hands are a big green mess. Once I was done with that I headed back to 3D to shoot off some ideas for my final project. I got out some sketches and my idea on paper. Jess and Abby then showed up and I decided to go home with them and Dave. As we were walking I asked if they wanted to get Sukiya. They were all flipfloppy about it until I said my treat!

We then sat down for a nice quick dinner of delicious pork cheese and rice. We then headed home for a nice night of sleep.

Tuesday Tuesday Tuesday

Unlike a normal Tuesday, I was on the road…early. I got to school and the lights weren’t even on. I started working on printing out my poster. My teacher came in 15 minutes late, because a policeman had tried to stop him and search him. This is where knowing the law is good. He said unless you are breaking a law they cannot ask for your foreigner id or to search your bag without your perission, like in the USA. TUJ told us at orientation that you needed to submit to every policeman’s will. So much for a 5 hour orientation.

Our teacher then took us for a coffee. It was a nice gesture and I got tea. Those of you who know me well, know I hate hot things especially drinks. They gave me the tea in one of those heat sink cups with those heatsink lids. I have honestly never had a hot drink with a top on it. So I tried to slowly sip it. SLowly I raised it higher and higher and higher, and then BURN! My tongue hurt so bad a mouthful of tea fell into my mouth.  I was so peeved.

But then my teacher gave us a small speech about life and to try our hardest and to just be happy. Things got very personal but it was advice that deserves more attention. We went back in and just worked on projects.

Next class I showed off my poster. We critiqued everyones. It was simple. People liked my additions. In Kevin’s class I continued working on previous projects. I then talked to him about my final project which should be very interesting.

After class I went and worked until the school closed at 9 in the computer lab. I got a lot of stuff done, but rendering still sucks. I went to grab a bite to eat after and ended up getting home around 10:20. I then ate a peanut butter and jelly sandwich 🙂

This night was an early night after a long day I decided to get some sleep.
